Il tema dell’esposizione ambientale naturale a fibre asbestiformi risulta connesso alla diffusa presenza di affioramenti ofiolitici nell’arco alpino e sulla dorsale appenninica, alla possibile esposizione ambientale causata dai fenomeni naturali (frane, erosioni) e ad attività antropiche (attività estrattive, scavi, gallerie).
