La norme EN 1264-X:2021 sono attualmente in revisione e saranno pubblicate nella nuova versione dopo la votazione finale da parte degli stati membri.
La norme EN 1264-X:2021 sono in revisione all'interno interno del WG9, gruppo di lavoro del CEN/TC 130, che a livello nazionale è seguito dalla commissione UNI/CTI 254 del Comitato Termotecnico Italiano.

Lo scopo della norma è, pertanto, cambiato:
- La EN 1264 fornisce le linee guida per i sistemi di riscaldamento e raffrescamento annegati - installati in edifici, residenziali e non (ad esempio uffici, edifici pubblici, commerciali e industriali) e si focalizza sul tema del comfort termico.
- La EN 1264 fornisce le linee guida per i sistemi di riscaldamento e raffreddamento idronici annegati all’interno degli ambienti da riscaldare o da raffrescare. Specifica inoltre l'uso di altri fluidi termovettori al posto dell'acqua.
- La EN 1264 specifica le caratteristiche standardizzate dei prodotti - calcolando e testando la potenza termica in riscaldamento per le certificazioni. Per la progettazione, la costruzione e il funzionamento di questi sistemi, vedere EN 1264-3 e EN 1264-4 per i tipi A, B, C, D, H, I e J.
- I sistemi descritti nella EN 1264 sono montati, direttamente o con supporti di fissaggio, in aderenza alla base strutturale delle superfici dell’edificio. La norma EN 1264 non si applica ai sistemi a controsoffitto che presentano un’intercapedine che consente la circolazione dell’aria tra il sistema stesso e la struttura dell’edificio. La resa termica di questi sistemi può essere determinata secondo EN 14037 e EN 14240.

c)Specified the definition of embedded heating and cooling systems;
d)Expanded the types of embedded heating and cooling systems;
e)Deleted, modified and added of several terms and definitions;
f)Updated references.
The main changes of the prEN 1264-2:2020 with respect to the previous edition are listed below:
a) Modified the title;
b) Clarified the scope;
c) Improved wording, especially the term “prove method”;
d) Modified Clause 9;
e) Deleted Clause 10 Test procedure for the determination of the effective thermal resistance of carpets and all references to this Clause;
f) Removed Figures A.9, A.10 and A.11;
g) Table A.13 Heat conductivities for materials was moved to the new Annex D and was expanded;
h) Deleted Annex B Test procedure for the determination of parameters for application in EN 15377;
i) Added new Annex C Calculation of the specific heat capacity (C-Value).
