IARC Monographs on the Evaluation of Carcinogenic Risk of Chemicals to Man Volume 14.

Asbestos was previously evaluate in October 1972 (IA, 1973). Since that time new published data became available which were considered by a Working Group especially convened in 1975. The present Working Group has made a final evaluation of all available data publisher or accepted for publication up to December 1976.

IARC Monograph program, that chrysotile, as all other forms of asbestos, is a Group 1 human carcinogen.
