Classification, and Labelling Guide in accordance with EC Regulation 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation)

EIGA Doc 169 known as the «Classification and Labelling Guide» is updated annually in order to take into account the changes in the CLP Regulation and the changes in the classification of gases due to the REACH registration of substances that have occurred during the preceding 12 months.

EIGA Doc 169 has been revised once more to take into account new requirements on classification and labelling from legislation since the previous edition (e.g. the new Regulation 517/2014 on F-Gases).

Some data needed for the classification of gas mixtures have been modified in the gas data tables to take into account data from new REACH registration dossiers for gases.

The document has also been supplemented with new rules to select the components on CLP labels for mixtures and with new rules for naming components in N.O.S UN numbers on the markings for transport.

Finally the examples of labels at the end of the document have been improved with cross references to the requirements outlined in the body of the document.
