Directive 2014/94/EU on the Deployment of Alternative Fuels Infrastructure was published in the Official Journal of the EU on 28 October 2014.
It entered into force on 18 November 2014.
This ORGALIME guide is intended to provide practical guidance to manufacturers as they prepare themselves for the new legislation.
The present guide has been structured in a way that readers learn about the Directive’s main content, relevant time lines and requirements in a progressive manner:
- Firstly, the guide shows the background to this Directive and highlights the objectives that the EU want to reach with it in Chapter 1.
- Secondly, the guide explains the issues that would need to be transposed into national law in each Member State and it provides a common understanding of the Articles and Annexes of the Directive therein, in Chapter 2. - - - Thirdly, particular dates for the implementation of this Directive and important deadlines for manufacturers to remember are illustrated in the table of chapter 3
- Fourthly, public financing opportunities that could help to facilitate the implementation of the Directive are compiled in Chapter 4 to gather information for engineering companies.
