Le guide e gli strumenti esistenti a disposizione dei comitati tecnici (TC) nel CEN sono spesso considerati troppo generali e un certo numero di TC sono in una determinata necessità di un approccio più pratico e di orientamenti più dettagliati su questioni specifiche. Una delle questioni più rilevanti identificate è stata come affrontare le sostanze chimiche pericolose negli standard.

I TC non sono consapevoli dell'importanza di considerare prodotti chimici pericolosi o spesso non dispongono delle competenze su come elaborare disposizioni specifiche in materia di norme. Tali disposizioni sono tuttavia necessarie per garantire che le norme del prodotto sul mercato rispettino la legislazione sulle sostanze chimiche e contribuiscano a ridurre al minimo gli impatti ambientali e ambientali delle sostanze chimiche nei prodotti.  

Obiettivo

Lo scopo di questo progetto è stato quello di sviluppare una nuova Guida CEN che fornisca supporto ai comitati tecnici su come sviluppare requisiti in standard di prodotto che possono contribuire a ridurre al minimo l'uso di sostanze chimiche pericolose nei prodotti e quindi ridurre i rischi sanitari e ambientali derivanti dall'esposizione alle sostanze chimiche .

Descrizione

Questo progetto è stato avviato dalla Commissione Europea (DG GROW) in collaborazione con CEN. Il progetto è guidato da un team di progetti composto da ASI, Danish Standards (DS), dall'Associazione spagnola di standardizzazione e certificazione (AENOR) e dall'organizzazione europea per i cittadini ecosostenibili di standardizzazione (ECOS).

Il progetto comprende tre attività chiave:

- La creazione e l'esecuzione di un gruppo di esperti multidisciplinari incaricato di informare il team di progetto;
- Lo sviluppo di una Guida che include raccomandazioni pratiche per gli standardizzatori su come includere i requisiti relativi alle sostanze chimiche negli standard dei prodotti;
- Lo sviluppo di una strategia per la promozione e l'attuazione della Guida.
